Our Classes

Pole Mixed

This class is about so much more than learning tricks—it’s about building strength, confidence, and presence in your body, exactly as you are.

Our pole classes support both mental and physical strength, helping you reconnect with your body through playful exploration, focused effort, and plenty of laughter. You’ll learn foundational spins, holds, and seats, with options to progress into inverts and simple combos as your confidence grows. Every movement is adaptable, making this class suitable whether you’ve never touched a pole before or you’re at a low-intermediate level.

You don’t need upper body strength to start. Strength is something you build by showing up, not something you’re required to arrive with. We meet you where you are, offer variations for different bodies and energy levels, and encourage curiosity over comparison.

Expect a supportive, inclusive environment where fun matters just as much as technique. Come to move, to feel, to grow, and to enjoy the journey.

Beginner Pole

Beginner Pole is a welcoming, grounding introduction to pole—or a gentle re-entry if you’re returning after time away. This class prioritises presence, confidence, and connection to your body over performance or perfection.

You’ll learn foundational spins, grips, transitions, and floor-based movement while gradually building strength, coordination, and body awareness. Everything is taught with options and adaptations, allowing you to move at your own pace and honour where you are on any given day.

This class is as much about mental strength as physical. We encourage curiosity, play, and self-acceptance, creating a space where it’s safe to try, rest, laugh, and begin again. You don’t need upper body strength to start—strength is something that grows through consistent, compassionate practice.

Beginner Pole at Embodied Balance is for everybody, every background, and every journey. Whether this is your very first class or your return after a long pause, you’re welcome here unedited, supported, and celebrated.

Heels Pole

Heels Pole at Embodied Balance is an invitation to explore sensuality, confidence, and fluid movement—without pressure to perform, unless performance is something you personally want to explore. This class blends beginner-level pole foundations with choreography, floorwork, and technical movement that supports both skill-building and self-expression.

Each session balances clear, accessible breakdowns of technique with time to explore how movement feels in your body. You’ll work on balance, transitions, lines, and grounded strength, while developing fluidity, presence, and connection. Choreography is used as a framework rather than a rule, allowing space for individuality, interpretation, and play.

Heels are optional but recommended, and all movements are taught with options and modifications so you can honour your body and energy on any given day. Sensuality here is defined by authenticity, not aesthetics.

This class is for anyone wanting to explore confidence, creativity, and embodied expression in a supportive, affirming environment.

Flexibility

Flexibility & Mobility at Embodied Balance is a holistic approach to creating space in the body—physically, mentally, and energetically. This class supports students working towards splits, backbends, and deeper ranges of motion, while also welcoming those seeking ease, agility, and comfort in everyday movement.

Physically, you’ll explore targeted work for hips, hamstrings, spine, shoulders, and back. Energetically, splits can become a practice in hip opening and emotional release, while backbends invite heart opening, trust, and expansion. There is no expectation to reach a specific shape—progress is defined by awareness, connection, and how movement feels in your body.

Classes blend active and passive stretching, PNF techniques, and gentle mobilisation to support strength, stability, and sustainable flexibility. Options and variations are always offered so you can move safely, respectfully, and at your own pace.

Whether your goal is to achieve the splits, work towards contortion-style shapes, or simply move through life with more freedom and ease, this class provides the tools to support your journey—without force, pressure, or comparison.

Pilates

Pilates at Embodied Balance is a mindful, grounding movement practice designed to strengthen, lengthen, and reconnect you to your body. This class supports functional strength, stability, and mobility while encouraging presence, breath awareness, and sustainable movement patterns.

You’ll work through a full-body class that focuses on core strength, posture, joint stability, and balanced muscle engagement. Movements are taught with intention and clarity, offering options and progressions so you can meet your body where it is—whether you’re new to Pilates, returning after time away or a seasoned student.

Beyond the physical benefits, Pilates offers a powerful tool for nervous system regulation and mental wellbeing. The emphasis on breath, control, and precision creates space to slow down, tune in, and build a deeper sense of body awareness and trust.

This class isn’t about chasing perfection or pushing through discomfort—it’s about moving with integrity, building strength that supports your everyday life, and cultivating a more empowered relationship with your body, just as it is.

Workshops

Our workshops are spaces to slow down, soften, and reconnect. These offerings support nervous system regulation, emotional wellbeing, and self-awareness, creating room for rest, reflection, and intentional growth beyond physical movement.

All workshops are open to every body and every level of experience.

Please wear comfortable clothes you can move easily in, and bring a blanket for comfort during meditation if you feel called to.

These are general descriptions and are subject to change.

Nervous System Nourishment Workshop

Nervous System Nourishment workshops are designed to help you downshift, regulate, and restore. These sessions blend a variety of breathwork practices, gentle stretching, self-massage techniques, and guided meditation to support relaxation and resilience.

Rather than pushing or striving, we focus on listening to the body and responding with care. This workshop is ideal if you’re feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, disconnected, or simply craving rest and grounding.

Expect a calm, supportive environment where you’re encouraged to move gently, breathe deeply, and meet yourself with compassion—exactly as you are.

Moon Circles Workshop

Our Moon Circles honour the rhythm of the lunar cycle, gathering around the energy of the New and Full Moon. Each circle is shaped by the intention of the moon phase—whether that’s planting seeds, setting goals, releasing what no longer serves you, or reflecting and integrating—and the astrological sign the moon is in.

These circles include breathwork, meditation, journalling, intention or goal setting, and optional sharing in a supportive, non-judgemental space. Sharing is always an invitation, never an expectation—your presence alone is enough.

Moon Circles are a space for reflection, connection, and gentle ritual, helping you tune into your inner world and move forward with clarity and intention.

Please bring a notebook or journal and a pen. Wear comfortable clothes you can move easily in, and feel free to bring a blanket for comfort during meditation.
